Linguistic Diversity & Inclusion Statement

While our primary working language is English, we proudly serve clients whose lived experiences, cultures, and communication needs extend far beyond a single language. We welcome and value applicants who bring skills in spoken or written languages, including either of Canada’s official languagesIndigenous languages, and the many languages that reflect the diverse histories and global migration that continue to shape the communities we serve.

We also recognize the importance of sign languages and a wide range of specialized or adaptive communication methods, such as tactile signing, AAC systems, picture‑based communication, behavioural or cue‑based communication strategies, and other tactical communication approaches commonly used in supporting individuals with diverse abilities and care needs.

Language and communication skills are meaningful assets in delivering culturally responsive, person‑centred care. If you bring additional linguistic or adaptive communication abilities—whether spoken, written, signed, or tactically specialized for use in healthcare—we encourage you to share them if you are willing to offer these skills as part of your care services.

Individuals who recognize that personal care work involves close interaction with people who may be impressionable, mentally vulnerable, cognitively impaired, living with dementia, or otherwise unable to protect themselves—and who are committed to upholding the safety, dignity, and well‑being of those in their care—are warmly invited to apply, provided they are eligible to work within the vulnerable sector.
